Not to be confused with actual events in the series, these two excerpts where scenes that failed to make it in TetsuMan #2.
TetsuMan #1 is up!
For those of you not in the know, TetsuMan is my somewhat silly attempt at trying to write a tokusatsu/sentai series adhering to rules that I feel are inherently important to the genre. I’ve played around with lots of toku homages before, but this is somewhat bigger in scope so I’m kind of nervous. None of this however would really have happened without the inspiration and help of Mister Watts and his series RoboMan, which has been a constant source of admiration for me. I’m really trying to make each of the issues of this series ‘good’ because I really want to be able to live up to the high standard Adrian has set with his how work.
However, all that serious talk isn’t really important today. What is important is that because it’s Issue #1 Day, I made some silly little extras to celebrate the occasion!
First up:

Now the world knows that I really can't draw...
A TetsuRed picture I ‘sketched’ on a post-it note at work in five minutes. Note how I can’t actually draw at all hands and also note the crazy 50s dancing style pose. This really is conclusive proof, if ever there was any needed, that I really can’t draw.
Next up…

I have nothing witty to say about this! It takes a special kind of adult to come home from work and cut out a masque from a cereal box and colour it in...
A TetsuRed masque!
That’s right kids, now you can be just like TetsuRed in the story!
Stay tuned for September/October when TetsuMan #2 is released and maybe, *just* maybe, we might have some more TetsuOmake!
